Bluewater JUST called and said I can pick it up tomorow at lunchtime, yay! They refuse to put the outdrive on because its a Stringer, but I can do that myself in 2-3 hours. The mechanic says the new 350 is GORGEOUS and sounds nice as hell! It fired up the very first time! Outdrive on by saturday lunchtime, do a five hour break in on the res and its off to flag!!!!!!!

Outdrive is back on and I ran it on muffs for a bit. Ive never had a new motor so im scared of hurting it, lol. Makes quite a few weird grinding noises but Ive been told thats perfectly normal the first few hours of runtime on a brand new motor. The thing has over 80 psi of oil pressure at an IDLE. My old motor never threw more than 40,(even wide open), so im wondering how dirty and clogged internally my old motor was! It goes back to blue water this morning so they can do the final timing adjustment and its all mine after work today! Blue water refused to install the outdrive,(I think they are scared of OMC Stringer drives). Overall Blue Water boat services and Rapido Marine,(in Florida where I bought my motor) have done an awesome job for me! If I can scrounge the beer and gas money I'm Flag bound Sunday! Saturday morning I do the break in on the motor. Ya will find me putting back and forth between the point, pelahatchie and cock of the walk for five hours if anyone wants to see it!
